WHY SUSTAINABILITY MATTERS
PERIOD CARE'S HIDDEN COST
Whilst the period care industry has come along way in the period progress process, it is still heavily dominated by conventional products made with synthetic fibres wrapped in plastic.
Traditional manufacturing methods also still lean heavily on chemical treatments like chlorine bleach, chemical fertilisers and even fragrances - materials and ingredients that might make products convenient and cost effective, but that are not so sympathetic to our planet.
These practices add up to a lasting footprint; we believe that there’s a real need to rethink these processes, opting for sustainable materials and methods that support both a cleaner planet and healthier bodies - without compromising period confidence and comfort.

WHAT'S IN
PADS & LINERS
Certified organic cotton & natural fibres.
Recyclable paper wrappers & outer box.
Non-toxic, Super-absorbent polymer (this is what keeps you extra dry).
Vegan adhesives.
TAMPONS
100% biodegradable organic cotton cover, core and string.
Recyclable paper wrappers & outer box.
Organic cotton is cleaned using hydrogen peroxide (a compound made of hydrogen and oxygen) - not chlorine bleach!
PERIOD CUPS
Non-porous, medical-grade silicone.
Cups are BPA, latex and plastic-free.
Zero-waste injection moulding production process (we only use the amount of silicone we need).
Recyclable paper outer box.
WHAT'S OUT
What we leave out is just important as what we put in. We don't use:

An easy system on the front of each pack to easily help you choose the product that best suits you and your flow. 1 droplet = for daily use, to 5 droplets = our heaviest absorbency, for heavy flow or overnight use.

OUR CERTIFICATIONS
Australian Certified Organic (ACO)
Moxie Tampons are Australian Certified Organic (ACO Cert no. 11773), one of the most respected and widely recognised organic standards in the world. This means these products meet strict standards for organic goods in Australia. The standards govern farming practices, traceability, and audits of all companies and suppliers in the supply chain to ensure rigorous practices are being met. Our FLO Tea is also proudly ACO certified.
Vegan Australia Certified
Moxie pads, tampons and period cups are proudly Vegan Australia Certified. This means that these products don't contain any animal ingredients or animal derivaties in the manufacturing process, and are not tested on aniamals (we love our furry friends!). We're working toadd our FLO TEA to this accreditation, as this too doesn't contain any animal ingredients. Watch this space for more progress...
FDA Approved
Moxie period products are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) - some of the strictest and most rigorous standards of medical device evaluation in the world. 'FDA Approval' means that a drug or device has been reviewed by the FDA and determined to be safe and effective for its intended use. Without FDA Approval, medical devices can't be sold in many countries like the US.

CARBON NEUTRAL SHIPPING
When we ship to you, we keep it green. All e-store orders are carbon neutral and packed in carboard boxes or compostable mailers, so your order arrives with a little less impact on the planet.
CONTINUOUS PROGRESS
Product update: we now use a material called NATURFLEX for our Moxie FLO TEA pyramid bags. This conforms to Australian Standard AS 5810, meaning it will biodegrade in home compost within 180 days.
