Best-selling feminist books online | Moxie

We love a bit of femme-and-fierce literature here at MoxieHQ and so we've compiled a collection of our favourite titles - all written by people who have spades of 'Moxie' in their own special way - and made them available for sale on the e-store.

From books about starting periods, to female empowerment books, to feminist books and everything in between. As read and recommended by the Moxettes at MoxieHQ (his is by no means an exhaustive list! What are your faves? Send us your best feminist book recommendations at info@moxie.com.au to our to our bookshop).

'We should all be feminists', by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

We should all be feminists - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie | Moxie

A Moxette's pint-sized guide to what feminism means today, and why we should all be feminists - irrespective of who we are and how we identify. The print version of the now infamous TEDx Talk of the same name. One you'll read over and over.

'Feminists don't wear pink and other lies', by Scarlett Curtis.

Feminists don't wear pink and other lies - Scarlett Curtis | Moxie

An epic collection of 52 essays penned by iconic women (Emma Watson, Jameela Jamil, Kiernan Shipka - just to casually name-drop a few!) on what the 'F' word means to them. Funny, fierce, and 'MOXIE' TO A TEE.

'Messy Sex', a zine by Madison Pawle.

Messy Sex - erotic poetry by Madison Pawle | Moxie

Well, suffice to say, we're obsessed with this zine - a stunning lil' collection of feminist erotic poetry with accompanying illustration and imagery, written by a fellow local Moxette and illustrated/photographed by two more incredible creative talents. A gorgeous gift-to-self or for a special someone else.

'Period Power', by Maisie Hill.

Period Power by Maisie Hill - feminist books online | Moxie

A MoxieHQ FAVE, we're big advocates of this lil' bible of all things periods (so many things we thought we knew! That we didn't know! That now we know!). 'Period Power' is the handbook to periods and hormones that will leave you wondering why the hell nobody told you all this sooner.

'Outspoken - 50 speeches by incredible women', by Deborah Coughlin.

Outspoken - 50 speeches by incredible women | Moxie

This is one of the first ever published collections of speeches by iconic women; from Oprah Winfrey, to Emma Watson, Jacinda Ardern, Joan of Arc and Elizabeth Roosevelt, to name a few! Wise words by wise women, presented by feminist writer Deborah Coughlin in a (coincidentally Moxie-hued!) hardcover book.

'How do we know we're doing it right? Essays on modern life', by Pandora Sykes.

How do we know we're doing it right? Pandora Sykes | Mia

A relatable, thought-provoking and well-researched collection of essays by one of our favourite podcasters ('The High Low') and BFF (even if she doesn't know it yet), Pandora Sykes - on anything from fast-fashion, to millennial burnout, to cancel culture. One for you, one for a friend *adds to cart*.
